Kick Off reports the Kenyan International's contract has not been renewed by the Japanese top side

Kenyan International Anthony Akumu will have to seek another club next season as reports indicate his troubled time at Japanese top-tier side Sagan Tosu has come to an end.

According to Kick Off, a reliable South African sports media outlet, Akumu's contract at the club lapsed and there were no renewal talks between the parties.

The former Gor Mahia man leaves the club having featured sparingly in cup matches but never played a single game in the league since he joined the team one year ago from South African side Kaizer Chiefs.

Despite the lack of play time at Sagan Tosu, Akumu has been instrumental for the National team Harambee Stars in recent games and that should give him hope as he starts club hunting.

George Gitau moves to Marske United

Elsewhere in the UK, highly-rated youngster George Gitau has joined lower-tier side Marske United on a one-month loan from Championship side Middlesbrough.

The defender has had stints with Arsenal, Brighton and Crystal Place youth sides in the last and was on Boro's bench when they took on Brighton in the FA Cup.
