It will be much sooner than later, actually...
Ruben Amorim confirmed that Bryan Mbeumo will make his Manchester United debut late today (12 am) when his side faces Everton in Atlanta in the last friendly game of their U.S. tour.
Mbeumo joined United from Brentford in a £71m deal, but he has yet to make his first appearance in a Manchester United shirt as he works his way to match fitness following a late start to pre-season.
However, it seems that he will have a role against the Toffees.
"He's going to play," said Amorim. "I'm really excited to see him playing, what he can give to our team.
"But I was really excited to see the team playing the last game. You maybe look at the starting XI and say, 'Nothing to see today.' And I was so excited because I know we can do better."
In the meantime, United are continuing talks on Benjamin Sesko, who has yet to decide on his future. Asked if he hopes to make more signings before the start of the season, the Portuguese tactician replied:
"To hope is a strong word," Amorim said. "We are always looking to improve the team. And we have some characteristics that we would like to have. But again, it depends on the market. It depends on the sales. We'll see. But I'm really happy."
