Amorim publicly puts pressure on his own players

The United boss wants his team to start winning away from Old Trafford
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently spoke about his time in Manchester as a coach and remembered one anecdote with Carlo Ancelotti when even the most experienced living manager acknowledged that the pressure of being a United boss is too much. So, what do you do when you are a manager of Manchester and you, along with your players are under pressure? Surely, you’ll try to stay as calm and focused as possible, and you will not try to put additional pressure on yourself or your team…wrong! What you need is more and more pressure. At least that’s what the current manager believes.
Ruben Amorim arrived at Old Trafford just over a year ago and experienced the burden of being the coach of one of the biggest clubs in the world very early. And yet, he still believes that putting additional pressure on his players is a good thing. If now, why he said this, ahead of the Crystal Palace game:
“Last year, we had to win every game all the time. And we took a lot of things, a lot of criticism because we were not winning. So in our club there are no excuses.I already talked about Europe and I said the same thing last year when we were in Europe. I said the same thing this year. The advantage and the disadvantage of not being in Europe, so there are no excuses. Last year or this year, we have always to win games”.
So, even without stepping onto the Selhurst Park, the Red Devils will be under pressure. And the reason for that is simple: they are underachieving (again). And the next problem is away form. United have won just once away from Old Trafford in the last 11 attempts, and are without a victory in five visits to Palace.
“It's hard to point one thing why we are not winning away. There's a lot of issues. We are improving but we need to know how to finish the games in order to win. I played against Glasner at Frankfurt with Sporting so I know the players. I take inspiration from everyone. I have six years as a professional manager so I'm always trying to learn to improve my team” said Amorim.
