
All teams confirmed for 2023 U20 Africa Cup of Nations

The quarter finalists at the competition will book their spots at the 2023 FIFA U20 World Cup in Qatar
All is set for the 2023 U20 Africa Cup of Nations following the recent qualification of Central African Republic and Congo Brazzaville from the UNIFFAC zone to complete the list of participants after their success in their zonal qualifers.
The competition for the junior sides is scheduled for Egypt next year between February 19 and March 11.
Central African Republic and Congo Brazzaville join 10 other sides that had qualified from their respective zones including hosts Egypt, Tunisia, Nigeria, Benin, Senegal, The Gambia, Uganda, South Sudan, Mozambique, and Zambia.

Uganda and South Sudan will be representing the CECAFA region by virtue of being the finalists at the 2022 CECAFA U-20 Championship which served as the qualifier for the continental competition where Uganda trounced over South sudan in the final, winning 2-1.
Central African Republic, who had beaten DR Congo and suffered defeat to Congo Brazzaville, defeated the defending champions of the UNIFFAC Zone Cameroon to secure their qualification, with six points.
In the other game, host Congo Brazzaville defeated DR Congo 3-0, to qualify with seven points.
Congo Brazzaville and Central African Republic will now meet tomorrow for the UNIFFAC Zone finals altough they have already confirmed their spots for the continental showpiece.
Kenya did not participate in the CECAFA qualifiers because the country was in the bad books of FIFA then.
