Rivals' dozens surround the tiny magician quite often, and yet he manages to pull through

It was after that Maradona's infamous photo against Belgium, in the maiden game of the 1982 FIFA World Cup, that the world became amazed by them - with the images of football magicians surrounded by a whole bunch of opposing defenders.

And it happens to be a genuine thing when it comes to those Argentine masters. The torch went from Diego's to Lionel Messi's hands as the current PSG attacking midfielder recreated the same setup over and over again. Regardless of the competition or the level of it, Messi is regularly tracked down by dozen of defenders who seldom end up mocked by his brilliant skills.

The last moment of this magic was recently seen in the Finalissima tie against Italy, but it's not like the first time he did. Nor second. Nor third. As a matter a fact, journalist David Mosquera made a simple yet meaningful Twitter tread packed with photos of Messi and 'pursuits' upon him. Just click on it, and a whole gallery of similar images will open up for you. And you still think there's room for the debate on who's the best in the world.
