Mbappe and Bellingham seek second medical opinions as Rodrygo's two-year ACL issue fuels doubts inside the club

Real Madrid's medical record is starting to raise serious concerns.

Injuries are piling up, and doubts inside the club have only grown since it emerged that Rodrygo had been playing for two years with a partial ACL tear. The Brazilian eventually suffered a full ligament rupture and will now miss the World Cup - but the mistrust had already begun to surface before that revelation.

Kylian Mbappe was among those who grew uneasy. The French forward had been experiencing knee discomfort for some time, with tightness during movement, and eventually decided to seek a second opinion.

Jude Bellingham soon followed the same path.

Earlier this week, Mbappe travelled to Paris to visit a clinic of his own choosing, eager to hear the doctors' assessment in his homeland. The verdict, however, appears to have confirmed what Los Blancos' medical staff had already advised - the club had been right to opt for a conservative treatment approach.

For now, surgery is off the table for Mbappe. The striker is expected to return to Madrid today after spending several days in Paris.

Bellingham, meanwhile, is also away from the Spanish capital ahead of Real Madrid's La Liga encounter with Celta tonight (11 pm). Like Mbappe, the English midfielder sought a second opinion, but he opted for specialists back home in England.

A muscle rupture has kept him sidelined for more than a month, which is longer than initially expected, and the slow recovery has clearly caused frustration. Precise details about his timeline remain unclear, and it is not yet known whether the doctors in England recommended a different rehabilitation approach from the one being followed in Spain.

What is clear, however, is that scepticism inside the Santiago Bernabeu is growing.
