Bosnian tactician heaps praises on his senior players.
Nairobi City Stars head coach Sanjin Alagic has heaped praise on three of his senior players labelling them the ’engine’ of the Kawangware based team.
The Bosnian tactician praised veteran midfielders Anthony 'Muki' Kimani and Peter 'Pinchez' Opiyo as well as defender Salim 'Shitu' Abdalla saying they are players no coach would want to miss in his team. The three players played a vital role in the team’s promotion to the FKF PL last season and the tactician says he is privileged to be coaching the trio.

“They are the engine of this team. Pinchez, Muki, Shitu are the guys you don’t want to miss in your team. I am privileged to have them here because they make the team tick,” he stated.
Opiyo missed City Stars' game against Sofapaka last Sunday through injury but Alagic is hoping to have him back for Monday's showdown against Batoto ba Mungu.
“Pinchez was injured and we couldn’t count on him. I was hoping he would be back for the game against Gor, he tried but he could not manage. I am hoping that he will be ready for Sofapaka, he will prepare and if he does not feel any pain then he will help us,” he added.
City Stars is currently 12th in the FKF Premier League after 16 rounds of league matches. They have won four, drawn five and lost seven of their league matches so far this season.
The trio considered City Star's engine have had long and illustrious careers locally and elsewhere with Pinches particularly on the final leg of his playing days.
