Reports suggest that the Saudi's champions will send the player on a loan
Big arrivals in Saudi football this summer, mega-transfers and pharaonic contracts are popping up, but now there is also surprising news that one of the famous names that recently came to Arabia could already leave now?! European and Saudi media report that Portuguese striker Jota is on the way out of Al-Ittihad. Only a month after he was bought from Celtic in a transfer worth 30,000,000 euros.

Jota is a Benfica kid who exploded on loan at Celtic last season. The fact that a year later, he became by far the most expensive player in the history of Celtic, who then paid over 16,000,000 euros to Benfica for his purchase, already gives an indication that his first season in Scotland was a pretty good one. This summer, the Portuguese strategist and Al Ittihad boss Nuno Espirito Santo insisted on his transfer, and the club agreed, considering that the former Spurs boss unexpectedly won the title last season. Jota became the biggest sale in the history of Scottish football and signed a three-year contract with Al Ittihad worth as much as 10,000,000 euros per year. For example, in Celtic, he earned around 1,500,000 per season.
Although in terms of attractiveness, he is not among Al-Ittihad's star signings, such as Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante or Fabinho, few expected that this would be the reason for him to lose the trust of the Saudis after only one month. Namely, the fans of the Saudi champion and the local public believe that Jota is not a big enough name compared to those brought by competing clubs such as Al-Hilal, Al-Ahli and Al-Nassr, so they already want to part ways with him despite the coach's opposition. Perhaps it is due to Jota's weaker games due to his arrival at the club since he did not register a goal or an assist in six games in the Saudi club's shirt.
Al-Ittihad are on top form in the Saudi Championship after two rounds, but before that they were defeated by arch-rivals Al Hilal in the quarter-finals of the Arab Cup in what was deemed a failure. At the same time, there are increasingly strong rumours that Al-Ittihad will launch an attack on Mohamed Salah who, after initial opposition, reportedly agreed to listen to an offer from Saudi Arabia when he saw all the football names that went there this summer.
