Moise Kean is having a season of his life at Fiorentina, as his team has recorded six Serie A triumphs in a row
The city of Florence is the birthplace of the Renaissance, the period in history that marked the transition from the Dark Ages to modern times.
Interestingly, the very same place is now witnessing the rebirth of AFC Fiorentina, led by a man of African origins.
Moise Kean is enjoying a true personal renaissance at Viola, having scored eight goals in the opening 11 Serie A rounds. The former Juventus and PSG striker has reinvented himself here, making a mark, especially in the games against Roma (he scored a brace in a 5-1 trashing of the Giallorossi) and last night against Hellas Verona (he scored a hat-trick in a 3-1 win).
The Ivorian-born forward has also added one assist to his name, pushing his team to an incredible achievement - six league victories in a row! That incredible berth skyrocketed them on the table, as they're now the joint runners-up with Atalanta and Inter, just a single point behind the table-toppers Napoli.
Fiorentina's boss, Raffaele Palladino, revealed how long he has believed in Kean's capabilities.
"I will not deny that I already wanted Kean when I was at Monza," revealed Palladino at his press conference.
"I saw him as a great striker who has it all. He just needs to continue like this and stay in good shape physically, the rest is just the fruits of his daily work in training and the help from his team.
"Everyone attacked and defended together today, which was not easy, as Verona were focused on the counter-attack."

Fiorentina are on fire at the moment and their boss is sure that now everything depends on them...
"The squad is competitive and we want to continue growing. I don't care about the table right now and I am not looking at it.
"What we are searching for is maturity because Serie A is not easy; you can be up against teams that attack and others that defend with four or five men. It takes patience to unpick that lock, along with intelligence and maturity," concluded he.
