Bryne OdhiamboGoalkeeper
The Bandari goalkeeper maintained his impressive form for the national team. He displayed composure, remained calm on the ball, and made two crucial saves to keep Kenya in the game.
In the 80th minute, he reacted swiftly to tip the ball out of play after Elmo Ukondja outjumped Johnston Omurwa in an aerial duel.
However, he was caught off guard on a few occasions, primarily due to poor positioning.
Rating
7

Rooney OnyangoDefense
The Gor Mahia defender showed improvement from his previous performance, displaying aggression off the ball. However, he contributed little to the attack.
Onyango struggled with his crosses, largely due to poor decision-making.
Rating
6

Daniel AnyembeDefense
Daniel Anyembe delivered a solid performance as a central defender. He showcased good positioning, excelled in duels, and frequently applied pressure on his marker, often regaining possession.
The Viborg defender dominated most of his duels, further highlighting his defensive prowess.
Rating
6

Johnstone OmurwaDefense
Johnstone Omurwa had a mixed performance. He struggled with his pace and aerial duels but showed promise with his distribution.
He needs to improve his concentration and defending in wide areas, where he often looked vulnerable.
Omurwa had two opportunities to give Kenya the lead but squandered both, sending his headers over the bar.
Rating
5

Erick OumaDefense
Erick Ouma delivered an underwhelming performance, offering less attacking output than expected. He appeared off the pace and somewhat fatigued.
He rarely pushed forward to support the attack, and on the few occasions he did, he struggled to receive the ball.
Ouma also failed to establish a connection with winger John Avire, as evident from the minimal passes exchanged between them.
Rating
6

Anthony AkumuMidfield
As captain for the day, Anthony Akumu struggled to assert his dominance in midfield.
He contributed little to the build-up play, had minimal impact with possession, but worked harder off the ball.
His coordination with Richard Odada was questionable, often lacking fluidity and understanding.
Rating
5

Richard OdadaMidfield
Man of the Match– Returning after missing the Zimbabwe game due to suspension, the Dundee United midfielder delivered an outstanding performance. He impressed with his composure in possession and displayed aggression without the ball.
Odada won most of his duels and recovered numerous balls in midfield, compensating for Akumu's struggles to assert himself.
He played a key role in breaking up Namibia's attacks and showcased excellent vision by quickly switching play with precise passes.
Rating
8

Duke AbuyaMidfield
The Yanga utility had a disappointing outing, struggling to make an impact before his withdrawal.
He failed to combine effectively with Austin Odhiambo, offering little to Kenya's attacking efforts.
Rating
4

Austin OdhiamboAttack
The Gor Mahia attacking midfielder often dropped too deep, which hurt Harambee Stars' effectiveness in the final third. His positioning left him disconnected from the strikers, limiting his ability to link up and create opportunities in attack.
Rating
5

John AvireAttack
To be fair, this was an unfair game for Avire. He made several good runs, particularly in the first half, but was rarely played through.
He would be more effective in a central striker role, where he could contribute more to the attack.
Rating
4

Alfred ScrivenAttack
It was not the dream full debut he had hoped for.
The Norway-based striker had a poor game and appeared off the pace throughout.
He struggled to integrate with the team, putting little pressure on the opponent and often looking isolated. His body language suggested he was a forward in distress.
Rating

Daniel SakariDefense
He came on and had a half-chance, despite playing out of position he looked promising upfront.
