The defending champions have been placed in Group C alongside Gambia, Guinea, and Cameroon.
Senegal's national team head coach, Aliou Cisse, has named the 27 players who will represent the Teranga Lions at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d'Ivoire in 2023.
The team consists mainly of household names such as Edouard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly, Sadio Mane, Cheikhou Kouyaté, Nampalys Mendy, Pape Gueye, Idrissa Gueye, Sadio Mane Nicholas Jackson, Ismaila Sarr, among others.
However, Cisse will be sweating over the availability of Tottenham midfielder Pape Matar Sarr, who went off in tears on Sunday against Bournemouth after picking up a first-half injury. He will be hoping that it is nothing serious, as the Spurs man has been in sensational form this campaign.
The defending champions have been placed in Group C alongside Gambia, Guinea, and Cameroon. Their opening match of the championship is against Gambia on 15th January. They will then face Cameroon four days later before ending their group assignments against Guinea on 23rd January.
