Isabwa has five goals to his name this season and is in contention for the Golden Boot.

Fresh from scoring a hat-trick in the 4-2 win over Wazito FC, AFC Leopards, Kakamega Homeboyz and FC Talanta have joined the race for Vihiga Bullets midfielder Mike Isabwa

Coincidentally, the former Vihiga United midfielder scored against Kakamega Homeboyz and AFC Leopards in the first leg of the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL).

The FKF Caretaker Committee confirmed that the mid-season transfer window flung open on Monday 10 January and will slum shut on Monday 7 February.

With a number of clubs facing financial challenges, most of the teams have opted to go for a bargain deal with Isabwa fitting the profile.

Bullets are struggling in their maiden season in the top flight as they are currently anchored to the foot of the table despite claiming their first win of the campaign last weekend against Wazito.

The midfielder signed a six-month contract back in September last year just before the start of the 2021-2022 season with the deal set to elapse in April.

Isabwa has five goals to his name this season after netting a hat-trick against Wazito and also netting against his suitors, Homeboyz and Leopards.

Sources close to the player reveal that he is open to a move away from Bullets in the mid-season transfer window and will take the best deal to further his career.
