Justice is slowly taking its course on the four players who assaulted a referee.
The Shamas Rugby Foundation (SRF) has terminated the contracts of four players following the unfortunate events that saw them assault a referee in the Championship semifinals last weekend.
The quartet took matters into their own hands by raining blows on the referee, Saidi Kenya for what they viewed as poor officiating in the game.

Shamas released a statement on Tuesday announcing the termination of contracts of the four players for assaulting the match official and went on to distance themselves from the heinous act.
“Following the unfortunate events of Saturday’s Championship semifinals, and deliberation by the Shamas Rugby Foundation (SRF) management, SRF would like to issue the following statement.
Termination of engagement with immediate effect with the following staff; James Kangethe, Joseph Kangethe, Julian Owino and Stephan Ottou.
The individuals motioned above are no longer associated with the organization and are not allowed to conduct any business on behalf of SRF. SRF's culture does not in any way promote or tolerate such behaviours,” read a statement from Shamas.
The Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) on Monday revealed that they have commenced disciplinary action on the indecent that took place on Saturday when Shamas took on Catholic Monks.
Shamas lost the clash 5-9 and will spend another season in the Championship after missing out on promotion to the Kenya Cup.
