The hosts were eager to win against Ukraine, Wijnaldum pushed them to a 2-0 lead, the opponents responded with a 5-minute-blitzkrieg, but Dumfries sealed the deal for Oranje a few minutes before the end

We've got ourselves the best, or at least the most exciting match of the tournament so far!

The Netherlands celebrate a 3-2 victory in a true rollercoaster against the die-hard Ukraine at the EURO 2020, after a goalless first half. With a captain's armband, Georginio Wijnaldum was a true leader of the Netherlands on the pitch.

In front of home fans at Johan Cruijff Arena, Frank de Boer's squad made dozens of chances before Wijnaldum put the ball in the back of the net seven minutes into the second half. Shortly after, Ukraine conceded another one, and most of us were probably sure it was all over, but Andriy Shevchenko's side refused to surrender, looking for a miraculous comeback on the wings of Yarmolenko's astonishing screamer.

Just a few minutes later, Yaremchuk added another one from set-pieces to stun the home crowd and bring the game into a stalemate.

Once again, it seemed like a done deal, but those expectations were false one more time as Dumfries nailed a header that pretty insecure Ukraine's custodian couldn't save despite his good positioning.

So there you go, the first (Wijnaldum) and the last, winning goal (Dumfries).
