4,424 days later - same team, same manager, same place, same rival, same outcome

Yesterday, Everton beat Tottenham at Goodison Park for the first time after 13 years. Guess who coached the Toffees on both occasions?

The news that Everton brushed Tottenham aside at Goodison Park yesterday was not that surprising, especially considering Spurs' recent form and a complete breakdown of Ange Postecoglou's tactics, caused (to some extent, at least) by as many as 11 injured players.

However, another piece of information regarding the duel between the Toffees and Spurs is mindblowing - Everton haven't beaten the visitors from North London in Liverpool since December 9, 2012! Until yesterday's triumph, of course. The reasons for that terrible winless spell are various, but one particular quickly catches the eye - David Moyes.

The duel from 13 years ago was the Scot's last against Tottenham on Everton's bench, as he took over Man United in July 2013 following Sir Alex Ferguson's departure. Since Moyes left, as many as six managers have tried to note a victory over Spurs at Goodison Park (Roberto Martinez, Ronald Koeman, Marco Silva, Carlo Ancelotti, Rafael Benitez, and Sean Dyche), and none of them succeeded!

And then he returned. To save Everton from relegation and, who knows, perhaps get them back to the Premier League TOP 6 and the European competitions, where the Toffees were almost regular during his time. After all, he managed to defeat Spurs at home after 4,424 days. Why wouldn't he accomplish these other things as well?
