The confirmation comes following a high-profile visit to Embu County by Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports, Salim Mvurya, who held discussions with county and sports officials on the development of sporting infrastructure.

In a statement released by the club, 3K FC expressed confidence that the facility will be ready to host FKF Premier League matches before the start of the new season, which is expected to kick off in approximately two months.

According to the club, the meeting brought together Sports Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya, Principal Secretary for Sports Elijah Mwangi, Embu Governor Cecily Mbarire, and the club's chairman Charles Njoka Njagi, who also serves as the Director of Sports in Embu County.

A key agenda of the discussions was the upgrading of Moi Stadium to meet the standards required for hosting top-tier league matches.

"Moi Stadium Embu will be ready to host Kenya Premier League matches. Among the key issues discussed was upgrading the facility to standards capable of hosting FKF Premier League matches," the club said in part of its statement.

While details regarding the scope of the renovation works and the amount set to be allocated for funding the project were not disclosed, the planned facelift is expected to enhance the stadium's infrastructure and ensure compliance with league requirements.

The Mozzart Bet-backed side has enjoyed strong home support at the venue during their National Super League (NSL) campaign, where they established a reputation as one of the toughest teams to beat on home soil.

3K FC secured automatic promotion to the FKF Premier League on the final day of the 25/26 NSL season after finishing second behind champions Migori Youth.

The achievement marked a remarkable milestone for the club, which earned promotion to the top flight in only its second season competing in the NSL.
