Kenya faces Gabon on Thursday in Franceville in a World Cup qualifier

Harambee Stars are faced with an injury crisis ahead of their crunch World Cup qualifier match against Gabon set for Thursday 16th November at the Stade de la Renovation in Franceville, Gabon.

According to Harambee Stars coach Engin Firat, his entire regular backline is doubtful for the game with other players also injured.

"Joseph Okumu got a knock in his last league game and had an MRI today, Daniel Anyembe is also injured while Brian Mandela is not in the team this time. Collins Sichenje recently had surgery on his knee while Erick "Marcelo" Ouma is also injured. We have a huge crisis but I am confident we shall make do with the boys we will have available." Firat said,

Another key player that will miss the match is Ayub Timbe who, according to the coach, is suffering from a chronic ankle injury.

"Ayub is a key player for the National team and he is not playing at his best level because of this injury. It hasn't been handled well at club level but we have done our best whenever he is in camp and he is getting better." The gaffer clarified.
