1.000.000.000 spent and they still lose to West Ham

The Hammers won 3-1 in the London derby
Whatever goes on, Chelsea dominates the headlines in England. They are top news when their spending spree passes one billion euros under Boehly, and they are the top story when this expensive team loses to their bitter rivals West Ham, who were flirting with relegation last season. The Conference League winners allowed Chelsea to win the possession battle, and instead, they focused on winning all three points and they did it. Aguerd, Antonio and Paqueta sealed this game and the Hammers won 3-1, even thou they had 10 men on the field from the 67th minute.

And what about Chelsea's expensive signings? Malo Gusto nothing much, Disasi shaky (again), Fernandez missed the penalty and 135 million worth signing Caicedo was guilty of one penalty. What's even worse for the owner Ted Boehly, the best player on the pitch was the 'old boy' Raheem Sterling. Already among the players with most games played in the current squad, the England international again, just like last week against Liverpool, showed that he is the most dangerous man in this team. He was a constant menace for the West Ham defense, he was the man fouled for the Chelsea penalty, which Hernandez failed to turn into a goal. The low key signing from Aston Villa Chukwuemeka scored for the Blues and showed his talent, but that was not good enough. This team might be great in the future, but for now they are still bonding and getting to know each other, while West Ham played with experience and motivation needed in such a big derby.
The first chance came after only five minutes, but Sanchez was inches quicker than Bowen. But two minutes later, new boy Ward-Prowse crossed perfecty from the corner and Aguerd was the hightest in the air – 1-0 West Ham. Jackson was the first one to create a chance for the Blues in the 14th minute and then his teammates Gallagher followed before Chelsea equalized. Hammers' defense allowed Chukwuemeka to take the ball, pass Soucek and blast the ball into the net. It was the time of the match when Chelesa totally dominated and out of that initiative came the penalty in the 42nd minute. Sterling has won his 24 penalty in the Premier League - the most of any player. But, Enzo Hernandez's shot was sussed by Areola, who saved it.
West Ham was also better at the beginning of the second half, when Benrahma should have scored, but blasted the ball of the far post. Chelsea soon got back on track and both Sterling and Gallagher had their chances. And then it looked that it's just a matter of time when the guests will score an equalizer, since Aguerd made a stupid tackle on Jackson and received his second yellow card. But West Ham hold on and in injury time Caicedo, who came in as a sub commited a penalty which Paqueta turned into the final 3-1.
