The Botswana sprinter is back in the country following his 2021 World U20 appearance in Nairobi

World 100m silver medalist Letsile Tebogo has revealed his wish to tour one of Kenya's National Parks and Mount Kilimanjaro after racing in the fifth edition of the Kip Keino Classic.

Tebogo jetted into Nairobi on Wednesday evening for the Continental Gold Tour event set for Saturday at the Nyayo National Stadium.

It is not the first time the Botswana sprint sensation is touring Kenya, as he clinched the World U20 100m title as well as a silver medal in the 200m of the championships staged at Kasarani Stadium in August 2021.

Many were expecting Tebogo to face home boy Ferdinand Omanyala in the 100m dash, but the two will not battle it out as the former will feature in the 200m with the latter racing in his 100M speciality

Tebogo, exclusively told Mozzart Sport that he was craving a tour of one of the national parks and would later climb the highest mountain in Africa.

Although he didn't reveal much in terms of the plan he has made to fulfil his post-race events that are on his wish list, he said there was time to scheme it and probably get his coach Kebonyemodisa 'Dose' Mosimanyane along.

"I am excited to be in Nairobi again. One thing I long for is to visit the National Park and later see Mt. Kilimanjaro. I wouldn't mind seeing Mt. Kenya as well," he said.

In previous editions, organizers of the Kip Keino Classic treated visiting athletes to a game drive to Nairobi National Park after the event.

Over to you, Magical Kenya!

Meanwhile, Tebogo who smashed the 300m record in February, is looking forward to his first appearance in the Kip Keino Classic.

The youngster, who believes that African sprinters are on course to dominate the world, said he was hopeful of creating memorable events just like he did in the juniors.

"I am proud of what I achieved in Nairobi the last time I was here. I am raring to go," he added.
