Winners were awarded Ksh 500,000 each, with the 10 KM race winners awarded Ksh 100,000 each.
The event, sponsored by Stanbic Bank in partnership with the Nakuru County Government, drew close to 3,000 participants from all over the county and beyond.
"I have been preparing for an international race but was unable to secure travel documentation in time so I elected to compete here and gauge my preparedness for when that chance comes. I had a good race and I am happy for the win," offered Ngetich.

On her part, Reline says she has been motivated by world marathon record holder Brigid Kosgei who is the Stanbic Bank brand ambassador to curve a niche for herself in road running.
“I am very happy to have participated in this race again and look forward to attending next year’s edition as well. These marathons provide an important opportunity for us to compete with our peers locally and internationally," Reline said.
Nakuru governor Susan Kihika appreciated the efforts invested by stakeholders in making the marathon successful.
"Now more than ever, partnerships between the public and private sectors will guide the county to its anticipated growth. Sports remains a key docket for Nakuru County and events such as these let us know that we have a supportive citizenry and reliable partners to work with,” she said.
Kosgei said that it was a joy seeing more marathon events happening in the country. "As people known for winning internationally, such races play a critical role in identifying and nurturing young talent that will continue flying our flag high for years to come," she offered.
Athletics Kenya boss Jack Tuwei, expressed optimism in having the event graduate to a full marathon in the near future.
"After two successful 21km races in Nakuru, we look forward to having this race as a full marathon in the near future. We believe that with Stanbic Bank and Nakuru County as partners, the City can host full marathons attracting additional elite competing athletes into the county," he said.
