The hurdler finished fifth to exit the Games
Kenya's hurdling sensation Wiseman Were could not master enough speed against a star-studded field to qualify for the final of the 400mH.
Racing in heat 3, Were managed a fifth place finish in 49.22 seconds.
The Kenyan was looking to make the final and attempt to walk in the footsteps of Kenya's only medalist at the Games, Boniface Mucheru who bagged silver in Rio 2016.
Wiseman Were's performance may have fallen short of the finals, but his effort and dedication are commendable!!🇰🇪🙌🏿
