The Afrucan champion has not dipped under ten seconds since his 9.93 title-winning time in Mauritius

Africa's fastest man, 100m Commonwealth Games champion Ferdinand Omanyala clocked 10.19 seconds in his final race of the season for a third-place finish at the Memorial Borisa Hanžekovića, a World Athletics Continental Gold Tour meet in Zagreb, Croatia on Sunday night.

American Marvin Bracy won the the race in 9.97 seconds, beating Omanyala for a second time this month. Bracy had also beaten the Kenyan sprints sensation in Switzerland two weeks ago in a Continental Tour silver race.

Jeremiah Azu came in second with 10.14 seconds with Joe Fahnbulleh not far off in fourth place with 10.20s.

Omanyala had hoped to finish the season on a high but this was the slowest time the African champion has posted this season.

In Switzerland at the Spitzen Leichtathletik, in the city of Lucerne, he finished behind Bracy who was a hundredth of a second faster than the Kenyan, and crossed the line behind 200m World Champion Noah Lyles of USA in Germany last week.

The 26-year-old last dipped below the 10 seconds mark in June as he triumphed in Mauritius to be crowned Africa's finest at the Afrian Championships where he clocked 9.93.
