Omanyala is now set to compete at the Meeting Hauts-de-France Pas-de-Calais in Paris on February 17.
Kenyan speedster Ferdinand Omanyala failed to replicate his earlier heroics at the World Indoor Tour's Miramas Meeting in the 60m dash, finishing fourth in the Mondeville World Athletics Indoor on Thursday evening as Daniel Simiu Ebenyo set a new meeting record at the same event in the men's 3000m.
Simiu clocked 7:42.93 to finish first ahead of Ethiopia duo of Melkeneh Azize and Yasin Haji who finished second and third respectively over the distance with Omanyala settling for a fourth-place finish.

By clocking 7:42.93, the Valencia Ibercaja 10K winner dipped below the previous record of 7:44.87.
American Cravont Charleston finished first in 6.54 seconds, with Ivorian Arthur Cisse and American Devin Quinn finishing second and third on 6.57 and 6.65 respectively.
Omanyala set a new national record of 6.63 seconds in the 60m dash when he debuted at World Indoor Tour's Miramas Meeting in France last week and was hoping that he would dip his time further but it was not to be.
