Only her silver-winning time has been recognised as a World record
Namibia's wonder kid and Olympics silver medalist Christine Mboma, who had to change events two month to the Tokyo Games from 400m to 200m has had two of her world records rejected for ratification.
Mboma set a new junior world record on 9 September when she won the women’s 200m final at Wanda Diamond League held at the Weltklasse meeting.

However, World Athletics (WA) have categorises her 21.78 time, unratifiable with the reason given for the decision not to ratify her time which stands as her personal.bsst in the distance being there was no doping control.
The Namibian athlete clocked 21.78 seconds to beat a strong field that included Shericka Jackson of Jamaica and Great Britain’s Dina Asher-Smith. Jackson was relegated to second place, with a personal-best time of 21.81 seconds followed by Asher-Smith in third place after clocking 22.19.
Two other records set during the Tokyo Olympics preliminary stages have also been rejected.
On 30 June, she broke the Under-20 world record for the 400m, her preferred event, in Poland. Two days later, she learned she could no longer compete over 400m because of her naturally-high testosterone levels.

WA' rules state that female athletes with overly-high testosterone levels cannot contest any race between 400m and the mile unless they artificially reduce their levels.Mboma is classified as having Differences in sexual development (DSD) and is thus barred from her chosen event, the 400m.
She switched to 200m for the Olympics, having already qualified. In the 200m heats at the Summer Games, Mboma clocked 22.11 to win her heat. In semifinal, she clocked 21.97, for second place behind Elaine Thompson-Hera, qualifying for the final where she bagged silver in 21.81 behind Herah who timed 21.53 for gold.
As 2021 comes to a close and we look at amazing women like Emma Raducanu, we need to also remember Christine Mboma and Beatrice Masilingi, they were 18 and excluded because of transphobic TERFs.

Her silver winning time of 21.81 which is an Under-20 women's record has been ratified but her times in the heats and semi final which were also U-20 records at the time have not been ratified with WA citing no doping control.
Eighteen days after bagging Namibia's first Olympics medal since Frankie Fredericks won his fourth and last Olympic silver and becoming the first female medalist at the Games from her country, Mboma won the World Under-20 title in Kenya before, in September, she twice blitzed a high-quality field in the Diamond League , winning the final itself in Zurich to clinch the annual title.
