The former World 5,000 silver medalist earned Kenya one of the three bronze medals at the recently concluded World Championships in Oregon
Recently crowned World Athletics Championships 10,000m bronze medalist Margaret Kipkemboi will concentrate more on improving her speed ahead of the remaining Diamond League series of the season.
Kipkemboi won bronze in the 25-lap race, finishing behind Olympic 5,000m silver medalist and Letesenbet Gidey of Ethiopia who beat the former to the line to clinch gold.

Letesenbet Gidey 🇪🇹 literally KICKS to world 10,000m 🥇 in 30:09.94!

Her bid to scoop a second medal in the concluded championship did not succeed as she finished outside the medal bracket in the 5,000m final held on Sunday morning at the Hayward Field, Oregon.
She was hoping to upgrade the silver medal over the distance won during the 2019 edition held in Doha to gold but Tsegay Gudaf of Ethiopia had other thoughts as she won the race.
Gudaf, the World 1500m silver medalist clocked 14:46.29 with African champion Beatrice Chebet settling for silver after coming in 14:46.75, her best time this season. Dawit Seyaum won bronze in 14:47.36.
Kipkemboi said he was satisfied with her endurance having raced both in the 10,000m final and twice in the 5,000m that she says helped expose the area she needs to work on more.
Massive respect for @hellen_obiri! One of the most disciplined in this generation. She actually came back to the track to do what she has done. Margaret Chelimo, an amazing girl! Gidey is thankful that she race was exactly 10,000m & not 10,010. Otherwise it was slipping away! pic.twitter.com/LIw8LxOrCW

The Diamond League resumes on August 6 after paving way for the global event that came to a close on Monday morning with Silesia (Poland) hosting the ninth leg.
"Doubling in a World Championships is not an easy task. I am happy I won a medal in one of the races. I am going back home to prepare for the Diamond League. My endurance is good all I want to improve on is speed. Two of the medalists in the final were very fast having ran in the 1500m which is always a quick race, "she said.
