The victory comes just two weeks after she medaled in the World Championships
Hardly two weeks after claiming bronze medal at the World Athletics Championships, Mary Moraa has delivered again after coasting to victory in the Commonwealth Games 800m final.
Moraa beat familiar foes in World silver medalist Keely Hodgkinson who was running in front of home fans and Olympic 1500m silver medalist Laura Muir.

The fast-rising athlete who has been on top of her game this season clocked an impressive 1:57.07 to earn the country the fourth gold medal in the ongoing championships.
Hodgkinson who was the pre-race favourite timed 1:57.40 with Muir who is doubling in the two-lap and 1500m races running a personal best of 1:57.87.
The former World U18 400m silver medalist burst into electric speed in the first lap only to regress to the back when the bell went off.
She appeared to have given up on the possibility of gracing the podium as Jamaican Natoya Goule took control and injected pace with Hogkinson and Muir following closely.

…but who is Kisii express, Mary Moraa still has the energy to dance and how amazing to see Eldoret express in the stands. pic.twitter.com/NhXKAo7SNe
However, Moraa's tact of preserving energy proved right as she summoned her energy and overtook the trio from the outside the line and would maintain the pace to cross the line ahead of the rest.
The Kenya Police runner could not contain her joy as she broke into dance to celebrate her achievement that certainly goes a log way in enriching her profile.
