Kenya has four medals now
Kenya will have to wait longer for the first gold medal at the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, UK after settling for silver and bronze in the men's 10000m on Tuesday evening.
Uganda's Jacob Kiplimo stormed to victory to settle for gold, clocking 27:09.19 and setting the competition's record, with Kenya's Daniel Simiu and Kibiwott Kandie settling for silver and bronze, stopping the clock at 27:11.26 and 27:20.34 respectively, both of them setting the personal bests.
The other Kenyan in the race, Edward Zakayo finished 19 seconds behind Kandie in fourth.

Simiu threatened to take Kiplimo head on but the Ugandan had a mightier kick down towards the last straight to set a new Games Record.
Scotlands Andrew Butchart followed South Africa's Adriaan Wildschutt with just over 4000m left, breaking away from the Kenyan dup of Kandie and Simiu who had just taken the pacing duties from Zakayo.
With seven laps to go, Kandie led Simiu and Zakayo in a 1-2-3 lead but Uganda's Jacob Kiplimo broke the formation shortly to take up the third place and displace Zakayo.

The Kenyans were switching the pacing duties well, functioning as a team effectively.
For the final five laps, Kiplimo took the lead, but Simiu and Kandie stuck with him to break away from the rest. Zakayo tried to keep up with the leading pack but he was unsuccessful, remaining an isolated fourth.
