Mary Moraa, Lilian Kasait and Beatrice Chebet are some of the other Kenyan athletes who will be in action.

World Under-20 800m champion Reynold Cheruiyot and compatriot Abel Kipsang line up for 1500m at Silesia Diamond League on Sunday 16 July.

Also on the day's line up will be 5000m world silver medalist Beatrice Chebet who will drop down to 3000m as she prepares for the World Championships.

With their tickets to Budapest already booked, the Kenyan trio are sharpening for the World event set for 19 to 27 August in the Hungarian capital.

The duo faces Norway’s Jakob Ingebrigtsen who has set the ambition to break the world record in the distance.

It is now 25 years since Hicham El Guerrouj ran his world 1500m record of 3:26.00 in Rome.

The Olympic champion Ingebrigtsen edged closer to it with the European record of 3:27.95 he recorded in Oslo and now, the world indoor 1500m record-holder will have his sights on another win and another quick run.

Meanwhile, Chebet will battle in the 3000m against national 5000m champion Lilian Kasait who looking to build on the PB of 8:25.90 she set when finishing second at the Diamond League in Oslo.

Chebet has a PB of 8:25.01 set in finishing first in Oslo. Also on the field is Ethiopia’s world indoor 800m silver medallist Freweyni Hailu who makes her outdoor race debut at the distance.

Elsewhere,  Soufiane El Bakkali had also set his sights on the world record of 7:52.11 set by Lamecha Girma breaking the world 3000m steeplechase record in Paris in June.

Olympic and world champion El Bakkali improved his lifetime best to 7:56.68 when winning in Rabat in May and if he’s anywhere near that sort of form in Silesia then victory should be secured.

Among those hoping to challenge him will be Ethiopia’s Getnet Wale and Kenya’s Abraham Kibiwott

Meanwhile, Kenya’s world bronze medallist Mary Moraa leads the entries for the women’s 800m, following the 1:57.43 she clocked to win in Lausanne.

She then dropped down to 400m, winning the Kenyan trials in a national record of 50.38, and is back to her speciality where she takes on Natoya Goule and Catriona Bisset.
