Former Africa Youth 1,500m silver medalist Eva Cherono says her performance during last Sunday’s Re-discover Nandi Road race left her convinced that she will clinch the Hauts-de-France 10k race set for Saturday.
Cherono clocked 32:41 to finish fourth in the race which sought to raise awareness and boost efforts in conserving water catchment areas in the area.
Nancy Jelagat and Emmanuel Bor broke sweat to floor hundreds of the rest of participants to be crowned and feted in the colorful closing ceremony.

The 25-year old who finished seventh in the 2018 Commonwealth games 5000m race said she was satisfied with how her body reacted while ascending the hilly course in Kapsabet and expressed optimism in ferrying the form to France on Saturday.
“I enrolled for the Nandi race to gauge my readiness for the Hauts-de France race scheduled for this weekend. The tough course helped me test my strength and resolve to rule in streets of north France and I was impressed with how my body reacted even though I struggled in the initial stages of the race. I am confident that I will emerge victorious in France,” she said.
