Quins have lost their opening two games of the season.
After losing their opening two games of the season, Kenya Harlequins head coach Paul Murunga has revealed that the team is yet to gel leading to their early season struggles.
This season’s Kenya Cup fixture list has not been kind to Quins after opening the season with games against KCB and Menengai Oilers which all ended in heavy defeats.
The former Kenya Sevens head coach noted that their poor start to the season has been down to new combinations which are yet to gel.
“Some of the players just joined the club and this is also my first season in the club so there are things that we are learning as we play so with time we will get better,” said Murunga.
Quins are coming from a poor campaign last season where they survived relegation by the skin of their teeth after being locked on 17 points with Impala Saracens who suffered the drop.
The tough fixtures are not about to ease up for Quins as they take on reigning Kenya Cup champions Kabras Sugar RFC this Saturday with Murunga confident of a better showing.
“We had a big improvement if you compare the KCB and Oilers game, if that is the craft then come Kabras this weekend then we will be in a better position to win the game.
We will train better to make sure that come the Kabras game we will be able to put up a fight and win the game,” added Murunga.
