National 7s standings ahead of Prinsloo7s

The race to determine the winner of the 2022 National Sevens Series is set to go down to the wire as the circuit enters its penultimate stage this weekend at the Nakuru Athletic Club from 9-10 July 2022.

As things stand after four outings so far played in the six-legged circuit, defending champions KCB RFC top the table having accumulated a total of 75 points but the Bankers only have a paltry three-point gap over the chasing pack.

Menengai Oilers, who are the only top five side yet to win a leg of the circuit, sit in second place on the log on 72 points with the Gibson Weru coached side being the closest challengers to KCB.

Strathmore University are in third on the log but are six points behind Oilers and a further nine behind the log leading KCB as they have 66 points.

Driftwood 7s champions Mwamba occupy fourth on the log on 63 points with Homeboyz closing the top five on 60 points after collecting maximum points in the Dala 7s tournament held this past weekend in Kisumu.

Kenya Harlequin and Kabras Sugar sit in 6th and 7th on 36 and 33 points respectively but with an implausible chance to make the gap to the top.

Teams will now shift their focus to the Prinsloo 7s that will be played in Nakuru this weekend before the season ending Kakamega 7s is played next weekend at the Bull Ring in Kakamega.
