Kabras Sugar and Menengai Oilers are jointly tied at the top of the log after winning all four of their opening matches
Six matches will be on the cards this weekend 8 January 2022 when action in the Kenya Cup gets back underway after a three week festive break.
Having already had the opening four matches of the season, usual suspects Kabras Sugar currently top the log table after getting a perfect start off the line so far as they have won all their games with a winning point bonus.
Jointly tied with them in first place is Menengai Oilers who also have 20 points after defeating all their opponents as well.

In matchweek five, Kabras will welcome record Kenya Cup champions Nondescripts at the ASK Kakamega Grounds with their focus on extending their unbeaten run.
Second placed Oilers will face an early test in their opening match in 2022 as they take on a Kenya Harlequin side that is not short on confidence themselves. Since Senegalese head coach Amadi Diallo took over, Quins have won three times and only stumbled once in their last game in 2021 against Homeboyz.
In other match ups, eight time and reigning Kenya Cup champions KCB will take on bottom of the pile Resolution Impala Saracens who will be hoping to turn around their season as quickly as possible.
Noting improved performances from his side that is yet to win any game so far, Impala head coach Oscar Osir will be hoping his side prove a tough nut to crack against the Bankers as they did to Kabras last time out.
“It was a fantastic attitude change from the team considering how we have been and we are hoping as a club that perhaps that attitude shift also becomes a shift in our fortunes in the league,” Oscar Osir, the head coach noted.
Matchweek 5 will also see varsity sides Strathmore Leos and Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology battle it out for points as Blakblad and Mwamba also square it out.
