
Former Kabras RFC youngster Rayvon Ambale os making waves in the UK

The youngster, who moved to Bryanston School in the UK on a full scholarship, has secured a prestigious spot in the U18 Bath Academy
Kabras RFC prodigy Rayvonne Ambale Olindi is on the right track towards actualizing his long-term rugby dream. The youngster who earned a full scholarship to the Bryanston School in the United Kingdom has now secured a spot in U18 Bath Academy for 2024/25 season.
Ambale picked an injury in the beginning of the year just when he was about to get a call-up to the team. He however overcame the injury to score four tries in April that earned him a spot in the squad.
Confirming the news, his management; Dream Believe Achieve (DBA) Africa, was pleased that the prodigy was on the right track to excellence. They were Bath and Bryanston School for the dedicated rehab process.
Ambale was in Kenya during the Great Rift 10s tournament where he turned up for Kabras during the tournament. He was not only essential in propelling the team to win the tournament but he also emerged as the Most Valuable Player and Top Points Scorer. That was his maiden appearance with Kabras’ senior team. They were under the guidance of Coach Max Adaka.
The youngster started his rugby journey at Kabras Rugby Academy.
His breakthrough came during the 2022 Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) games when his school Butula High School came too close to winning the rugby 7s title but lost 31-0 to giants Koyonzo High School at the final stage.

It was at that moment that Ambale showcased his skills on a bigger stage to be crowned the 2022 KSSSA Most Valuable Player (MVP) and the tournament's top try scorer.
He ended the tournament with 128 points having scored a total of 20 tries and drilled in 14 conversions in the two-day tournament.
His talent continued to shine in the East African 7s debut, where he claimed the top try scorer award.
In 2023, Ambale played a pivotal role in Butula’s historic 15s title win at the National Schools Rugby Championship, securing the MVP award.
He missed the 2023 East African Games, Ambale embarked on an exciting UK journey, facilitated by DBA Africa and former Kenya 7s coach Damian McGrath.
