In their opening match, a nervy Shujaa just managed to beat Senegal 19-0 but their small winning margin ensured they were handed those tough matchups against the 3rd, 4th and 5th seeds in the tournament.
Zimbabwe will have a point to prove as they got lucky in sailing through as the best loser after they were stunned 14-12 by Burkina Faso. Madagascar and Namibia got 47-0 and 19-10 victories over Botswana and Ghana respectively.

In the other pool, impressive hosts Uganda, who recorded the biggest victory of the day (beating Burundi 71-0), were drawn against Burkina Faso, Tunisia and Zambia.
In the round two pool games, the top two from each group will advance to the main cup semifinals being played on Sunday with the top three finishers the only teams that will get tickets to the World Cup.
The remaining six teams who were beaten in round one also formed their own groups to fight for the placement matches. Mauritius, Botswana and Cameroon formed one pool as Ghana, Burundi and Senegal formed the other.
