This year’s tournament will feature 10 teams split into two pools of 5 each.
The pools for the 2023 Prescott Cup have been released ahead of the tournament’s kick-off on Saturday 20 May 2023.
This year’s tournament will feature 10 teams split into two pools of 5 each.
Prescott Cup Defending champions Ofafa Jericho headline Pool A which also comprises Lenana, Upper Hill, Nairobi School, and Kiambu. The James Kaili-coached side will open their title defense against Nairobi School on Saturday at the Lenana School.
Following that, they will face former champions Upper Hill on May 27 before locking horns with Lenana on June 3.
Pool B features Mangu, Alliance, Dagoretti High School, 12-time champions Rift Valley Academy (RVA), and Strathmore. The semifinals are slated for June 24 with the final on July 1 at the RFUEA ground.
The tournament will run concurrently with the St. Mary's Blackrock tourney scheduled for June 3 and John Andrews Memorial tournament slated for June 10-11 at Lenana School.
This year’s Prescott Cup is a preserve for players aged 19 and below and will feature a reserve competition for players aged 17 and below.
The second-tier Damu Pevu Shield pools are also out.
Former Prescott Cup giants St. Mary’s are in Pool A with Langata High School, Aquinas High School, Light Academy School and Sunshine School while Pool B features Githiga, Thika High, Jamhuri and Garden Estate.
