This is the second round of action since resumption after the festive break.

Former Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) women's league champions Equity Bank Hawks have their date with Zetech Sparks in one of the highly anticipated repeat match of the women's league.

The two sides clash on Sunday 29 January at United States International University (USIU) grounds from 2pm as hosts Hawks look to avoid another defeat to the varsity side.

In the first leg encounter, Sparks led from the first whistle to the last, subjecting the David Maina- led team to their first defeat of the season.

The dynamics are, however, different from what was in the first leg as both sides have recruited and lost some talents as well.

Interesting to note, Sparks lead guard in the first leg Deborah Obunga will now suit for the bankers, giving the Maurice Obilo-coached varsity side one more dynamic to think about ahead of the match.

"We have prepared for the fixture knowing it is not an easy match-up. Hawks will come hard at us and going up against Obunga will be no easy task.

We have not had the best of preparations as six of my players have been engaged with the national team. We got the last two days to train as a unit.

We, However, go into the match without pressure. I just want to see my players execute well," Obilo said ahead of the game.

The varsity side will see youngster Madina Okot make her debut against Hawks. "We have not trained with her for long so it might take some time for her to gel with the squad so we are not putting her under pressure now," Obilo said about Okot who joined the team from Kenya Ports Authority (KPA).
