This is the only top-tier match on the cards following the break occasioned by the general elections. The other 21 ties this weekend involve lower division teams.
In a match that has all the indicators for a thriller, former Kenya Basketball Federation champions Ulinzi Warriors face off with Equity Bank Dumas in the only top tier league match of the weekend as the league resumes.
Bernard Mufutu's charges, Warriors, will clash with a side that has reinforced their squad for the 2022/23 season with Victor Bosire and James Mwangi who were an integral part of the soldiers in the last two seasons.
As such, the tactician admits that this will be a tough duel, even so as they go up against the talented duo who have made a huge difference to the bankers' performance this season.
"We have had a three-week break but we kept working. The mood is quite encouraging and we are hoping for the best.
Equity always come out fighting and we expect a tough game from them. They have beefed up their squad and brought in some good quality players but we are chasing a win as is everyone so we go out and give our best," offered Mufutu.
Dumas, who made the semis for the first in this year's playoffs, going against eventual winners Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) in a 3-2 outcome are looking to subject the military side to a second defeat in their seventh match of the season.

The Carey Odhiambo-led bankers have also lost once, to Nairobi City Thunder and are keen not to drop any more points. Against Mufutu's charges the side has their work cut out.
"We have been working on our defence and improving our boxing out which has been an area of concern for a while.
Everyone is catching up but there is still lots of learning to do as we continue working through our set plays.
The players have a feel of where we want them to be even as we look to improve on how we space out our plays and share the ball,” he added.
Warriors will relish the return of Elisha Adhiambo who has missed several matches due to personal commitments.
