Steph Curry's 42 points diminished Aaron Gordon's 50, as the Warriors beat the Nuggets, while the reigning champs, the Thunder, crushed the Pacers after two overtimes, thanks to SGA's 55 points
The new NBA season started just two days ago, but the excitement is already at the highest possible level. Last night's programme in the best basketball league in the world included only two games, but those clashes provided us with tons of drama and as many as three overtimes!
In San Francisco, Golden State brushed aside Denver 137-131 after OT, as Steph Curry forced the additional five minutes with a three-pointer, levelling the score to 120-120. In the OT, the Warriors were more focused, clinching their second win of the season.
There will never be another Steph Curry.

Curry was the best in Steve Kerr's crew with 42 points and diminished the Nuggets' Aaron Gordon's exceptional 50-point performance. Jimmy Butler also stood out on the home team with 21 points, while Jamal Murray's double-double (25 points and ten assists) and Nikola Jokic's triple-double (21 points, 13 rebounds, ten assists) weren't enough for Denver to avoid a defeat in their opening duel of the season.
After recording an OT win over the Houston Rockets in the first game of the new campaign, the reigning NBA champs, Oklahoma, once again emerged victorious - this time after two overtimes! In a replay of last season's NBA Finals, the Thunder brushed aside the Indiana Pacers on the road 141-135.
Bennedict Mathurin and Pascal Siakam combined for 66 points in Rick Carlisle's crew, but were left empty-handed in the end. On the other hand, the NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander poured on 55 points, though he had massive help from Ajay Mitchell and Aaron Wiggins, who scored 26 and 23 points, respectively.

Truth be told, the Thunder deserved the triumph, as the Pacers narrowly avoided a defeat twice - when Siakam forced the first overtime with 6.5 seconds to spare, and then when Mathurin did the same for the second OT 12.5 seconds before the buzzer.
Either way, the new NBA campaign provided us with some wild games, and it's just the third day of the new season, so we can only imagine what will happen in the upcoming months.
