Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) men's league champions, Prisons Kenya find themselves in trouble as they fell to Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) in Game Two of the ongoing playoffs semis.

However, the Dennis Mokua led warders were a pale shadow of their Game One self as they lost Saturday's Game Two in a quick 3-0 (25-17, 25-20, 25-17), giving the dockers a lifeline in Sunday’s decider match slated for 4 pm.
Brian Kamonde and Dennis Omollo played a crucial role in the win for dockers and head coach James Ontere believes they have put their Game One woes behind them and are ready to match to the final.
"After the loss we talked to the players and asked them to be calm and avoid putting themselves under pressure and it worked. Poor reception and weak services were our main undoing in the first match, but after addressing that we are in perfect shape. We head to the decider with the final in mind," Ontere offered.
Meanwhile, Prisons who missed the
services of experienced skipper Hudson Chesoli after sustaining a knee injury in the opening match found the going touch, as, according to veteran setter Daniel Kiptoo, nothing was working.
"From the get go, we were performing poorly and KPA took advantage. Our system didn't work despite all the adjustments. From reception to attack and blocks, all was just going wrong.
We have no opportunity for training to correct on some of these things but we have to be mentally present as we have a reputation to uphold and a title to defend," Kiptoo offered adding that being defending champions and African bronze medalists comes with alot of expectations in the playoffs, which they want to uphold.
Elsewhere, General Service Unit (GSU) edged out Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) 3-1 (25-19, 25-18, 24-26, 25-21) for a 2-0 win to book their spot in the final.
