KPA will fight for a fifth place finish while GSU chase seventh place against Nemostar of Ugandan,

Former Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) women's league champions, Kenya Pipeline, saw their perfect run at the ongoing women’s Africa Club Championships dented by Nigeria's Customs as the latter picked a 3-2 win over the oilers.

Pipeline, began the match on a high, winning the first set 25-22 but lost their momentum to lose the second set 25-18 after a series of poor defensive moves and reception.

Customs doubled their chances in a 25-20 outcome but Pipeline snapped out of their slumber to beat the Nigerians 26-24 in a closely fought fourth set and set up a decider set.  Paul Gitau's charges, however, failed to make it count when it mattered as they went down 15-11 in the decider to pick a point for their efforts.

Meanwhile, Coach Sammy Mulinge guided his charges Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) to a 3-0( 25-18, 26-24, 25-19) win over Uganda's Nemostar to set up a meeting with Cameroon's Port Douala.

The win gives KPA a chance to finish their Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) men's African Club Championship campaign in fifth place, on their debut.

Kenyan champions General Service Unit, on their part, relinquished a first set lead to go down 3-1 in the hands of Port Douala and are now set to face Nemostar as they hope to finish in seventh place.
