
KCB sponsors four drivers for WRC Safari Rally

Since 2021, KCB has spent Ksh. 800 million and invested Ksh. 2.3 billion in motorsports in a bid to open more opportunities for navigators and drivers
KCB Bank has injected Ksh. 209 million to this year’s World Rally Championship (WRC) Safari Rally by sponsoring four local rally drivers.
KCB, entering its commitment with the sport for the fifth consecutive year, will partner with Nikhil Sachania, Karan Patel, Evans Kamisi and debutant Tinashe Gatimu.
Out of the sponsorship monies, KSh. 100 million will be allocated to the Kenya Motorsport Federation to facilitate preparations and logistics, and ensure the event runs seamlessly.
An additional KSh. 23 million will directly support the four local drivers, with KShs. 86 million set aside for activations, hospitality, branding and Revvvisha na KCB campaign, which aims to encourage savings culture among Kenyans.

Speaking at the official media launch in Nairobi, KCB Group CEO Paul Russo said: “The WRC Safari Rally is more than just a motorsport event. We see it as a platform to showcase Kenya's potential on the global stage.
“At KCB, we believe in pushing boundaries, and through our support, we hope to enable Kenyan drivers to excel while supporting Kenya’s socio economic ambitions.”

This year’s event takes place from 20-23 March in Naivasha, with activities beginning at Kasarani for the ceremonial start.
