The league is expected to take a break after this weekend's action for the festivities.
Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) league action this weekend will be at University of Nairobi (UoN) grounds with three top-tier matches scheduled for Saturday 10 December.
Former champions Ulinzi Warriors play their fourth match of the second leg against Strathmore University Blades while hosts UoN Terror take on title-hopefuls Equity Dumas.
Warriors’ head coach Bernard Mufutu while acknowledging Blades’ threat, has called on his troops to fight for victory.
“We have trained well for the matches. We know Blades are an aggressive side, one that presents a huge challenge to us but we have trained with that in mind. We have all our personnel available for selction and expect all of us to give their best in that clash,” offered Mufutu.
Warriors are coming off back-to-back wins, a laboured 57-56 victory against Africa Nazarene University (ANU) Wolfpacks on 26 November before seeing off Kenyatta University (K.U) pirates 67-51 at Ulinzi Complex.
Meanwhile, Equity Dumas will look to continue their stellar show when they take on hosts Terror. The star-studded Dumas picked an easy victory in their last outing against Umoja in a 77-39 outcome to continue their unbeaten run since losing to holders Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) early in the first leg.
The women’s top-tier league will see hosts Dynamites take on Equity Hawks in a clash that the bankers head to as favourites on paper.
