The sixth leg takes place from Thursday till Sunday.
Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) will be hoping to maintain their unbeaten run in the season so far when the men’s Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) National League enters its sixth leg of the campaign from Thursday at the Nyayo National Stadium.
However, the coastal based outfit, who lead the standings on 28 points from 10 matches, will be under the cosh in their bid to maintain their unblemished streak as they face an enterprising Kenya Forest Service (KFS), reigning champions General Service Unit (GSU), 2016 former champions Kenya Prisons before they wrap action with a clash against Administration Police (AP) on Sunday.
Second placed GSU have 23 points from eight matches, KFS are fourth with 20 points from nine matches, Prisons are fifth with 18 points from eight matches, while AP occupy 12th place with eight points from as many matches in the 16-team league.

Apart from KPA, coach David Lung’aho and his charges Prisons Kenya have their work cut out as they look to have a perfect weekend of action
Currently sitting in an unfamiliar fifth place, ten points behind leaders KPA who have played two extra matches, the former champions need maximum points to improve their chances of qualifying for the playoffs and fight for the elusive title.
Lung’aho will be hoping that his charges can shrug off their fifth leg woes where the team found themselves losing to fast-rising Kenya Forest Services (KFS) and almost went down to champions General Service Unit (GSU) in a match that was abandoned.
With clashes against siblings Western Prisons, Equity Bank, Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) and Kenya Army in the four days of action, their head coach is hoping for momentum right from the first day in order to achieve their targets.
“We have a tough task ahead. The four matches are crucial and a must-win for us. We begin with a prison’s derby and while on paper it might look like an easy fixture, any time we meet the other prisons teams they go hard on us so we expect the same from Western. We are targeting a positive start as that will give us momentum going into the other matches,” offered Lung’aho.
At the bottom end, bottom placed Vihiga County return to action after they gave the fifth leg a wide berth last month. The team that has lost all six of its matches have a date with Prisons Central, TrailBlazers, Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) and Nyanza Prisons.
