With that name, where else could you go, right?

Wolves are inches away from signing Wolfe! No, it's not a joke or wordplay, though it might sound like that.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are close to agreeing on a deal with AZ Alkmaar left-back David Moller Wolfe. The deal has not yet been completed despite Fabrizio Romano's recent X post, in which he used the legendary phrase 'here we go'.

Still, according to The Athletic, Wolves are optimistic that a fee of €11.5 11.5million would be enough to secure the 23-year-old Norwegian's arrival.

Wolfe should arrive at Molineux as a replacement for Rayan Ait-Nouri, after the Algeria international joined Manchester City in a €37m transfer in June.

After playing for Bergen Nord and SK Brann in Norway, Wolfe joined AZ in 2023 and has featured 92 times for the Dutch team.

He made his senior international debut in a friendly against the Faroe Islands and has been capped 12 times, scoring once.
