Kylian Mbappe broke the nose in the opening EURO 2024 game against Austria, but his protective mask arrived on time, so there's a chance we see him tonight (10 pm)

The ongoing European Championship has provided us with tons of drama and some sensational action, but from tonight on, we could have another sweet on that menu - The Masked Ranger.

Kylian Mbappe's nose injury has attracted massive attention and, at some point, it seemed like the mesmerizing French forward would miss the entire group stage due to a severe nose injury he picked up against Austria.

However, a specially designed protective mask has arrived just on time - on Thursday - for the Les Bleus next game against the Netherlands on Friday night (10 pm).

The new Real Madrid attacker did the entire training with it, and it seems he'll be able to play the decisive group game tonight. To seal their 1/8 finals qualification, France must defeat more than a decent Dutch side.

With or without Mbappe in the team.

"Kylian is doing very well, although his nose is a little swollen," Antoine Griezmann explained in a press conference ahead of the Netherlands tie. "We'll see until the last moment, depending on how he feels."

When asked about the possibility of playing without Mbappe, the Atletico Madrid forward said:

"The whole team has to adapt. But I don't know if he'll play. He's one of the best players in the world, whether you have him or not makes a huge difference.

"You always have to adapt in football. No matter what happens, we'll have to adapt for everyone, and that has to be our strength too," concluded Griezmann.

On the other hand, France manager Didier Deschamps seemed positive when talking about the possibility of Mbappe's return to the squad.

"Everything was going in the right direction yesterday. He was able to go out and do activities like he did this evening, things are moving in the right direction so that he can be available on Friday night," said Deschamps.
