One West Ham supporter, obviously with a lot of money and time, traveled to Ghana to see the new signing

The fanaticism of football fans often crosses borders, and in England, such phenomena are probably more frequent than anywhere else in Europe. One of the most interesting stories during this international break comes Africa, more precisely from Ghana, but it's connected to England. One of the strongest national teams on the continent played a decisive match for the 2024 African Cup of Nations against the Central African Republic, and one Englishman supported the home team.

One loyal West Ham supporter flew 4,000 miles (just under 6,500 kilometers) from London to Accra, and then another 250 kilometers by land transport to the city of Kumasi, to attend Mohammed Kudus' first game for the national team since joining the Hammers from Ajax in late August. The Ghana international did not disappoint the loyal fan, neither with his football mastery, nor with his gesture after the match. First, at the Baba Yara Stadium, he scored a goal directly from a free kick for 1:1 right before the end of the first half, and in the second, Olympique Lyon's new player Ernest Nuamah scored for a total turnaround and first place in Group E. Later that day, in the training camp of the national team, Kudus personally gave Ian his jersey, thus rewarding his amazing effort.

Ian's presence generated a lot of attention in and around the stadium itself, and he was quite interesting to the media there, who wanted a statement.

"West Ham is a huge club, we emphasize that wherever we go, we are everywhere. I came from England to watch our Mohammed Kudus. He is very strong and skilled with the ball. We love him very much" said the Englishman.

Kudus played his first match for West Ham just before the international break, in a 2:1 win against Luton, when he came off the bench. He will have the chance to make Ian and tens of thousands of other fans happy already on Saturday (16:00) when Manchester City arrives at the Olympic Stadium in London, for the game of the fourth round of the Premier League.
