What goes around 5-0, comes around 1-3! Rennes stun PSG

Just two months ago, Les Parisiens battered them 5-0 at Parc des Princes to kickstart a six-game-long winning streak. Alas, that streak has reached a brutal end...
There are ways to get your revenge, and then there's Rennes' way!
The aforementioned match at Parc des Princes was the beginning of a dreadful streak for them, sealed by three consecutive Ligue 1 losses, but it was put to sleep on Friday night in sensational fashion.
Rennes stomped Paris Saint-Germain 3-1 to get back on track and provide the Ligue 1 with an exceptional title race in prospect after such an outcome. Now PSG are two points above Lens at the summit, but the latter have a game in hand, and there's so much more on the plate for all of us invested in the French top division.

The Champions League winners created a flurry of chances, but their sluggish finishing, along with mistakes across the pitch, proved fatal. The 3-1 setback could already cost them the top spot in the league tomorrow - if Lens beat Paris a few metres away from the Parc des Princes.
Perhaps the most shocking stat showing what happened this Friday night: Luis Enrique's men ran 10 kilometres fewer than Rennes altogether!? With such an approach, it was never realistic for their league-winning streak to continue.
Desire Doue and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia delivered a game to forget, while Luis Enrique reacted only after the 60th minute, taking them off.
PSG keeper Ilya Zabarnyi struggled in his first start after three matches on the bench. In the 69th minute, he failed to clear a cross, allowing Lepaul to head Rennes ahead. PSG was so out of focus that even Ousmane Dembele's quick response with a header in the 71st minute couldn't narrow the gap enough.
BREEL EMBOLO'S GOAL HERE
Gonzalo Ramos failed to score in his back-to-back attempts a few minutes later. Shortly after, the punishment was served cold.
Rennes sealed the victory with a lightning counter and a link-up between Ludovic Blas and Breel Embolo. The Swiss striker of Cameroonian origins headed the ball home with his abdominal muscles, thus completing the lesson the Bretons handed to PSG.
For a club dreaming of trophies and the Champions League, Paris Saint-Germain must wake up before the harsh reality hits them straight in the face.
