The Nairobi based club travel out of the capital for the first time this season to face a win-less Zoo FC
Moneybags Wazito will be seeking to bounce back to winning ways when they play a struggling Zoo FC at 1pm on Monday at the Bukhungu Stadium in a Football Kenya Federation Premier League(FKFPL) match.
Wazito played Mathare United to a one all draw in their last game a result which saw them lose ground in their fight to catch up with the top teams in the log.
The Francis Kimanzi coached outfit who will for the first time hit the road this season have been handed a boost in their defence ahead of the Zoo game following the return of Johnstone Omurwa from the suspension. The Harambee Stars defender had missed the match for accumulating five yellow cards.
Kimanzi who expressed satisfaction with their draw against Mathare cautioned his players against looking down upon Zoo who are yet to test victory this season from ten matches.
“We picked valuable lessons from our match against Mathare. We deserved to get a point from the match if the way we played is anything to go by. We play a home match away from home for the first time this season and this could be a motivation to the players who will be exposed to a new environment and fan base. We can easily mislead ourselves if we gauge Zoo by the points they have garnered this season. Their tally doesn’t mean they are weak or we will beat them without breaking sweat,” he said
Wazito are perched sixth with 21 points while Zoo remain at the rock bottom of the log with three points. The match will present an opportunity to the Zoo FC trio of Tayo Odongo,Collins Neto and Vincent Misikhu to serve bitterness to their former employer while Wazito's goalkeeper trainer Samuel Koko will also be facing his former club
