Wanyama hunting for a new club

Rising Stars attacking midfielder in search for a new club after returning from trials

National U20 winger Enock Wanyama is hunting for a new home after failing to secure a deal with Slovak top tier side FK Pohornie.

Wanyama unsuccessfully tried with the Slovakian side for a couple of weeks but did not make the cut forcing him to return home.

The mercurial winger who jetted back last week but one revealed that his agent was working round the clock to seal a deal for him in the forthcoming summer transfer.

Wanyama who was recently attached to Ligi Ndogo is currently training with national U23 team that is gearing for the CECAFA tournament in Ethiopia.

My agent is working to get me a new club. My contract with Ligi Ndogo has expired and hopefully I will get a new club soon preferably in Europe. At the moment I am keeping fit with the U23 team although I am will not be part of the team which will jet out unless the coach thinks otherwise,” he said.

Wanyama who did not rule out returning to Slovakia in the meantime disclosed that he had picked valuable lessons from the trials. The youngster said the club honchos were impressed with his skills but advised him to fine-tune the basics and keep on working hard.

Much I did not get a contract after the trials, I learnt a lot for the time I trained with them. I realized that the club puts a lot of emphasis on basics and playing simple. They said they were impressed with my talent sentiments which instilled confidence and the enthusiasm to improve my football prowess," he added.
