The CECAFA club champions are 11 points clear at the top

Vihiga Queens continued their perfect record in the season as they edged out Kayole Starlets 7-0 at Mumias Complex to maintain the 11-point gap at the summit of the FKF Women Premier League.

Topister Situma scored four goals while Eve Chemutai managed a brace as Mercyline Anyango managed one to complete the seven-goal rout over the seemingly relegation-bound Kayole Starlets.

With the result, Vihiga have now gone for all the 16 matches without losing a match in the league, winning in 14 occurrences and drawing in just two.

Mathematically, the three-time Kenyan champions just need eight points to be crowned champions, with Ulinzi Starlets sitting a distance second.

On their part, the Soldiers edged out Nakuru City Queens 2-1 at Ruaraka Grounds to keep their second spot after Gaspo Women played to a barren draw on Saturday.

Siliya Rasoha and Jentrix Kuyudi scored for Ulinzi, with Nabangala Nyongesa getting the consolation for the visitors.

Elsewhere, Zetech Sparks upset champions Thika Queens 2-1 at GEMS Cambridge to move to within three points of the top three.

Elizabeth Khisa scored for Zetech Sparks, with Juliet Andipo converting into her own net while Stella Anyango scored the lone goal for Thika Queens.
